What is an invasive species?
An an invasive species is a living organism that:
is not indigenous to the area that it is found
brings harm to the environment, the economy, and/or human health
*not every non-native is invasive, as some non-natives do not bring harm
Unfortunately, we have many invasive species in Sullivan County that can be difficult to control because they have no natural predators and outcompete our native species
